An award-winning collaboration

JOHANNESBURG – THE Award-winning musical artists, Daniel Baron and the Afrikaans pop group, ADAM have joined forces for a hit collaboration.

Baron was lucky enough to open for Bon Jovi during their 2013 South African tour, and he regularly performs in the UK and US. Not only has he scooped the Wawela Music Award for Best Male Artist and Composer, but he’s also been nominated for Best Soundtrack in a Feature Film or Theatrical Documentary.

ADAM consists of the combined musical talent of Hugo Ludik, Reynardt Hugo and Kyle Grant. They opened for Westlife during their 2011 tour in Namibia and for Air Supply during their 2014 tour in South Africa, and they’ve been winning South African Ghoema and Huisgenoot Tempo Music awards since 2011.

Ludik, founder of the group said, “The choice to do the song together as a collaboration didn’t take much thought or time. Both Daniel and ourselves identified with every single part of the song.”

Baron said he had known Ludik for a couple of years. “Before the ADAM group formed, we used to perform together as session musicians in different bands. It’s been incredible to work with ADAM. They are true professionals and true rock stars,” Baron said.

They have come together to create their first international single Say What You Want. The single was exclusively played for the first time on the 947 and KFM Kia Top 40 on 6 June, and although it has already been released in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, South African fans will be able to get their hands on it by downloading it on iTunes and other digital platforms.
