The sections of Parktown North, Parkwood, Saxonwold, Hyde Park and Craighall that are in block 8B are fed by the Parkhurst substation and should not be affected, but the community is advised that they should be prepared just in case.
Suburbs that will be affected are Rosebank, Saxonwold, Parkwood, Parktown North, Craighall, Dunkeld, Dunked West, Hyde Park and Melrose.
The community is advised that when power is restored, sometimes circuit breakers on the street poles trip.
