Sweet times ahead for Heuning
Heuning, the sweet local duo, is taking their act – and their new album – to new heights and hitting the international scene for an exciting tour of America.
Heuning is the award-winning Afrikaans-country band that recently released their latest album titled Drome.
The duo’s female lead, Jeanette Rootman, had previously performed in America, and now, she and Henk Derckson will perform at the very same hotel – the Buck Owens Crystal Palace in California.
She made a bold move by leaving a Heuning CD at the Palace on her last visit, and it has paid off. They will perform Drome there for two nights only in June.
Rootman and Derckson said they are excited to give die-hard country fans in the area a taste of their unique music. They also intend to write and record some music in the area before they return to South Africa.
They are especially proud of their new hit single, Skree, and will take on a national tour of malls, schools and festivals in South Africa on their return.
