UPDATE: Dead body allegedly discovered at Zoo Lake

SAXONWOLD - A dead body was allegedly found in a storm water drain at Zoo Lake on 28 May.

Emergency services at Zoo Lake where a dead body was allegedly found.

Update – 11:30am – It is believed that the body belongs to a vagrant from the area.

According to Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo, it is alleged that the deceased got into a fight with another vagrant and sustained several stab wounds to the neck and shoulders, which presumably resulted in his death.

Police are still waiting for the autopsy report.

Initial report: 10am – The fire department, police and pathology services are on scene.

The circumstances of the alleged death are still unknown.
