Parking feud ends badly

ROSEBANK - TWO motorists recently took their road rage onto the parking bay of the Gautrain station in Rosebank, which ended in the malicious damage to one motorist's car.

The victim of the keying, who wished to remain anonymous, explained that she left a note on the windscreen of a car advising the owner of their bad parking.

“My note was quite mean. I understand the response. I wrote that they park like an idiot and shouldn’t breed, “she said.

It seems the owner of the ‘bad parker’ didn’t take lightly to the insult and retaliated by keying the victim’s car.

“[They keyed my car with] lots of big white X’s. They also keyed in the word ‘bi%$#’, the victim said.

“[I am] just shocked at the lack of cameras at the station. And the attitude of it all. Could have been worse I guess,” she said.

“Naturally we deplore any such behaviour,” said Ian Findley, contracts and commercial executive at Gautrain. Findley added that all complaints could be logged directly with their customer services department.

Spokesperson for the Rosebank police Sergeant Bongi Mdletshe stated that a case of malicious damage to property could be opened.
