Date night with Mamma
FOURWAYS - Celebrities and their moms were treated to a special night out at Montecasino on 2 April.
Guests were treated to a dinner at Jenda and then were spoiled with a backstage pass to the hit musical Mamma Mia.
With socialites such as Maps Maponyane, Clive Maistry and actor Emmanuel Castis present, the night was a star-studded bliss. Public relations officer for Montecasino, Sian Bailey said the purpose of the evening was to spoil that one special person in our lives.
“We saw it as only fitting to spoil these celebrities and their mums to a wonderful dinner and show; it is about creating experiences and memories,” she said.
Laughter, jokes and embarrassing stories were shared over dinner and all guests found something common to share. Selfie-sticks were gifted to each celebrity and their moms to capture those special moments throughout the evening.
The musical was well anticipated by all the moms, as they were keen to sing along to some of Abba’s best hits. TV personality and socialite Clive Maistry said the musical was phenomenal, “From the outfits to the storyline, to the dance moves, it was just incredible,” he said.
Maro Castis also said the show was amazing, “The actors gave it their all. I felt as if I was on stage with them. The music was top-class.”
Mammia Mia will be showing at Montecasino until 3 May. Tickets can be purchased via Computicket.
