The 39-year-old man was arrested on 19 March and has appeared at Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on a charge of possession and distribution of child pornography. The suspect is out on R5 000 bail, and the case has been postponed to 22 April. It is reported that five people have been arrested for distributing child pornography, during an operation to break pornography rings.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale could not immediately confirm more details about the case.
