Multiple media organisations are reporting that shots have been fired at the Hyde Park Shopping Centre. At this point, it is unclear how or why the shots were fired, however Css Tatical has said they are on the scene.
EmerGmed reported that four males robbed a Vodacom shop in the centre, but said no injuries had been reported.
ENCA has reported that the centre’s general manager has confirmed the incident and said “We’ve got the police coming and are investigating what happened. We need time to find out what happened before saying anything.”
The news organisation spoke to an eyewitness, Justin McCall, who reportedly told the organisation he heard piecing screams from a woman at about 2.30pm.
