Rock the run… The Hyundai Rock the Run event rocks Sandton on 1 March at the Mushroom Farm Park.
The event which uniquely combines running with live music performances had thousands of participants enjoying the 5km, 10km and 21.1km routes. Live choirs, orchestras and buskers added a musical experience to the routes. Runners added flair to the festivities and dressed up in their best rock star outfits and hit the streets for the run.
Mi Casa, Matthew Mole and Mango Groove entertained the masses at the after party concert. Those who joined the festivities at the park not only enjoyed live entertainment but also various food stalls, a car exhibition, a children’s fun-corner and a beer tent.
The Metro police controlled traffic throughout the race and participants of the event were allocated various places around Sandton to park their cars.
