Singing sensation visits St Mary’s School

JOBURG - St Mary's School in Waverley was treated to South Africa's very own singing sensation when Daniel Baron visited them on 24 February.

His appearance was to promote his upcoming album at Monte Casino on 12 March called Apollo.

Baron’s agent Sam de Bruin said, “The album is highly anticipated as it follows a No 1 hit on the South African charts.”

In addition to that, in 2013 Baron opened for Bon Jovi as part of the Because We Can’ World Tour when he performed in front of 60 000 fans at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. He has enjoyed successful sales, tours and has played at prestigious festivals internationally.

According to Baron’s bio on his website. He is an ambassador for CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa). In 2014 he started the”Rockstars Ride For CANSA” campaign. Baron rode the JHB 94.7 Cycle Challenge with a team of 12 riders to raise funds for cancer awareness and in memory of his cousin, Matthew who passed away of cancer at the age of 14. The song “A Lion’s heart” was also written and released to remember Matthew and all other cancer victims. Daniel’s greatest aim is to inspire and move people with his music.

Baron’s music is both moving and purposeful.
