Organisation offers friendship and understanding

JOBURG - The Compassionate Friends, a support organisation offering friendship and understanding for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents, invites everyone and anyone who is in need of their services.

The unfortunate instance of death occurs in different ways, and the organisation offers advice and support in the do’s and don’t’s in such an instance. A meeting was held on 14 February where Isbella Holden, director of Lifeline, spoke about the journey of grief and facing it.

Death causes a pain that can be best understood fully by another bereaved parent. The organisation therefore encourages those going through similar unfortunate circumstances to engage with the organisation. Knowing that one is surrounded by love and support could assist in one’s healing process. Meetings held by the organisation are kept confidential. Being a part of the organisation is free of charge.
