Traditional Welsh concert on St David’s Day
PARKTOWN - The Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa, Côr Meibion Cymru De Affrig, will hold its annual St David’s Day Concert on 1 March at 3pm.
The concert will be held at the University of Johannesburg Arts Centre, Kingsway Campus on Kingsway Avenue in Auckland Park.
Tickets are R120 each.
The choir will be singing an entertaining mix of beautiful traditional Welsh songs and contemporary popular music, with soloists from the choir adding a special touch.
Guest artists will include Sergio Zampolli on the accordion and Amarillie Ackermann on the harp.
The choir would also be interested to hear if there are any Welsh families in Gauteng who may have a set of traditional Welsh dresses in their wardrobe which could be loaned for St David’s Day.
