Planting a tree for every printer

ROSEBANK - The Digilogix company based in Rosebank donated 258 trees last year as a part of their Going Green initiative.

Justine Meyer, marketing director for Digilogix, stated that the company, a Xerox concessionaire, saw an apt connection between printing and planting.

As a result, the campaign called ‘You Print, We Plant’ was initiated last year. “[It] involved planting a tree for every Xerox device that was sold,” said Meyer.

In partnership with social enterprise Food and Trees for Africa, the trees were allocated to schools in Soweto, Northcliff and Orange Farm.

“The staff are always keen to join the activities and are a part of the [initiative] when they are available. Our staff love getting involved in the community wherever possible.”

The company is looking to continue this initiative this year and aims to plant about 350 trees.
