Attempted break-in caught on camera

CRAIGHALL - Two men have been caught on camera attempting to break into a house in Craighall Park.

Chairman of the Craigpark Residents’ Association, Ryan Roseveare has shared CCTV footage captured outside his residence.

The footage shows a white vehicle driving past and reversing to park near the property.

Two men wearing hoodies and caps exit the vehicle and linger outside the gate for several minutes, attempting to lift it open with what appears to be a crowbar.

Though the men did not successfully break into the property, Roseveare noted that he still had to repair the damage they made.

The incident occurred on 29 January at around 1pm in broad daylight. The footage also shows several cars driving by while the men are still lingering suspiciously outside the property.

“They had their back turned to the camera; they were not amateurs,” he said.
