Trial of Jozi FM DJ postponed

JOBURG - THE SOUTH Gauteng High Court have postponed the murder trial of former Jozi FM deejay Donald Sebolai to 11 May.

Sebolai allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, Rachel Tshabalala to death at Tshabalala’s flat in Soweto last year.

The leading prosecutor Elize le Roux filed for a postponement and Sebolai’s legal team agreed.

Sebolai went on the run for nine days after he had allegedly committed the murder on 29 June last year and fled the scene in a vehicle that belonged to Tshabalala. The Protea Magistrates’ Court denied Sebolai bail at his bail hearing last year, but after further negotiation his legal team managed to have him released.
