Revenge killing after murder in Orange Grove tavern

ORANGE GROVE - AFTER the murder of Zandiswa Sogoba's boyfriend at a tavern in Orange Grove in 2013, Sogoba now stands accused of murdering her lover's alleged killer by the Eastern Cape High Court. T

The murder allegedly took place in the Eastern Cape last year.

Sogoba, accompanied by Khonzuyise Mahlathi, Bulelani Sikholiwe, Sibulele Mehlwana and Masixole Matshoba, tracked down the boyfriend’s murderer, Sicelo Mtsatse, in the Eastern Cape and allegedly killed him. An unidentified women who was witness to the murder said in the Eastern Cape High Court on 6 January, “I saw him being chased and when he got near the gate, he fell and they caught up with him. They then started attacking him. Sogoba then arrived and she was yelling. She then said, this dog must die”. The witness explained to the acting Judge Thembekile Malusi that Sogoba stabbed Mtsatse.

Sergeant Nurse Sanyane, spokesperson for Norwood Police Station, said, “We urge members of the community not to take matters into their own hands. If the public come to us with the right information, we will do all in our power to make sure that those who commit crime see justice.”
