Vote for your ward’s future

JOBURG - Wards 73 and 74 councillors Marcelle Ravid and Jack Cooper invite residents to make their mark by participating in the supplementary elections.

The elections will see community members vote for the ward committee members responsible for taking their wards’ concerns forward into the next term.

Ward 73 elections take place on 17 February at 6.30pm. The elections will be held at Norwood Primary School, corner Nellie and Scholz roads. Voters will select their representatives in the vacant sectors of community development 1 (sports and culture), health and social development 2 (FBO, CBO and NGO), public safety, and environment and infrastructure.

Ward 74 elections will be held at Waverley Sports Club (the old Waverley Bowls Club, 126 Sterling Street) on 14 February at 10am. Vacant sectors to be filled in the Ward 74 committee are community development 1 (sports and culture) and health and social development 1 (youth, women and children).

Voters are reminded that they must be 18 years or older to participate, and must be registered within the relevant ward. Voters will be required to present a coded identity book in order to participate.
