From security guard to entrepreneur

NORWOOD - A security guard in Norwood has high hopes for his business plan.

Michael Themba Pikiteyi spends most of his free time contemplating innovative ideas and structured plans for new business ideas.

Pikiteyi is in the process of introducing jumping castles to local parks. He hopes that this will create jobs and keep children off the streets. He said, “I see too many children on the street. This idea will entice children to have fun, enjoy their youth and keep them safe.” Pikiteyi is confident that his experience as a security guard will enable him to provide protection for park visitors, and to employ staff to monitor the children who use his jumping castles.

He is conducting talks with City Parks about his idea and has approached a number of local small businesses to raise capital for his business. He plans on advertising small businesses on the jumping castles to create revenue for the companies.

Pikiteyi is hopeful that his idea will be successful.
