YOU article turns into a trending Twitter joke

JOBURG - A provocative You Magazine article and an overzealous Twitter user set Twitter on fire for the wrong reasons.

It’s no secret that A.K.A and DJ Zinhle have been linked in a romantic relationship; despite the fact that they still insist on taking separate pictures and denying the rumours to the public.

Recently the pair jetted off to an island off the coast of South Africa for a romantic get away, but were greeted with a tropical cyclone called Bansi.

This was reported on by a You Magazine journalist who headed the article “DJ Zinhle and AKA’s romantic getaway turns stormy”. Before reading the article to learn about the tropical cyclone, a Twitter user tweeted “Zinhle and AKA broked up again”.

This has caused ‘Zinhle and AKA’ to trend on Twitter, but not referring to the article or the couple, but rather to the Twitter user who ‘broke English’.

Countless memes have surfaced poking fun at the user for his poor use of English.

Titi @Tiisetso_xo tweeted: “What a shemed hey lol” @prolusion02 english woned”@LwaziForeal:LMAOed @OrlandoGhost: “@Sydney_ZA: Zinhle and AKA broked up”.
