She had just exited the Parkhurst Aesthetic Centre and entered her car which was located in the parking lot behind Melissa’s Restaurant, when a man with a black motorbike helmet approached her and attempted to open the driver’s car door.

When he noticed that it was locked he then pretended to ask for the time.

The woman stated that the man did not point a gun at her, but noted that the incident felt strange and that she was visibly wearing jewellery and a watch.

Members of the community have speculated that the male suspect with the motor bike has committed crimes of a similar nature in the surrounding suburbs before.

Parkview police spokesperson Sergeant Lloyd Ramovha confirmed that the police are currently investigating the robbery that occurred outside Polly Potter’s after 1pm on 14 January.

He noted that the armed male suspect fled on a motorbike without a registration plate.

Ramovha added that the police believe the same individual is responsible for two previous similar incidents in the vicinity of Parkhurst, and urged community members to be vigilant, he also urged members of the public to take note of motor bikes in the area especially if they do not have a registration plate.

The Caxton news room noted that the particulars of this crime incident corresponds to a robbery that occurred to a woman in Illovo in November last year.
