Orange Grove’s 11-year-old TV sensation

Matlaila (11) is a resident of Orange Grove. He plays the role of Khanyiso Kondile who is the son of Zukisa (played by Noluthando Meje) and Sizwe (played by Jet Novuka). In the soapie, Khanyiso travels to Joburg and intends on staying permanently, however his parents are unsure if they are able to afford his upkeep in the City of Gold due to their financial situation.

This is Matlaila’s first appearance on TV and he is doing exceptionally well. He does not let his professional career get in the way of his academic career as he is a dedicated pupil. His sister, an actress and businesswoman is mentoring him.
