Parkview Christmas market organisers express thanks

PARKVIEW - The Parkview Charity Christmas Market held at George Hay Park in November last year was yet again a resounding success.

More than 11 000 adults attended and an amazing R700 000 was raised to support Nicarela Charity. That’s an increase of 20 percent

on last year and is an all-time record.

The organisers thanked the public for their overwhelming response and support. The weather was unseasonably accommodating which helped to grow attendance figures and the first storm of the weekend took place as the market closed on Sunday afternoon.

Visitors shopped their hearts out by buying crafty gifts for their loved ones and enjoyed delicious eats, from oysters to burgers.

Because the community was the focus of the event, the market reflected a charitable and festive vibe helping to start the holiday season in a happy and giving light.

Entertainment for adults and children was right on target and exhibitors and visitors provided excellent feedback. All proceeds from the market were donated to Nicarela Charity which supports 22 beneficiaries.

The usual Parkview Charity Market raffle took place and the winners were.
