Get involved in your ward

JOBURG - Residents are invited to make their mark on their local wards by voting in the upcoming supplementary elections.

Ward 73 and 74 community members are invited to participate in the supplementary elections to fill vacant sectors, which are due to take place in February.

Ward 74 councillor Jack Cooper invites residents to vote in the Ward 74 elections which will be held on 14 February between 10am and 12pm at Waverley Sports Club. Vacant sectors in Ward 74 are Community Development 1 (Sports and Culture) and Health and Social Development 1 (Youth, Women and Children).

Ward 73 councillor Marcelle Ravid invites residents of her ward to participate in the election to be held on 17 February between 6pm and 8pm at Norwood Primary School. Vacant sectors in Ward 73 are Community Development 1 (Sports and Culture), Health and Social Development 2 (FBO, CBO and NGO), Public Safety, and Environment and Infrastructure.

All voters must be 18 years or older and should be registered within the ward. Voters will be required to present a bar coded identity book.
