Raising money for the Reach For A Dream Foundation.

JOBURG - Top Billing presenter and Strictly Come Dancing winner Jonathan Boytnon-Lee partnered up with ice-cream company Magnum Joburg to raise money for the Reach For A Dream Foundation.

Fifty percent (R16 335) of the proceeds earned from sales of customised ice creams at Magnum Joburg at The Zone, Rosebank were donated to the foundation.

“There’s nothing more rewarding than helping to make a child’s dream come true. I know the importance of dreaming big, and chasing those dreams,” said Boynton-Lee.

“The children of Reach For A Dream are all very ill, and we want to do everything we can to make their dreams a reality, before it’s too late”.

The Reach For A Dream Foundation believes in the power of dreams. They encourage children to use their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses and seek, as far as possible, to make dreams come true.

The foundation works to bring hope to children fighting life-threatening illnesses through the fulfilment of their dreams, and to further help as many children facing these illnesses through a number of national projects.

A few children from the foundation were bought to the Magnum store to enjoy the ‘Make My Magnum’ experience.

With much delight, they got to choose their favourite Magnum chocolate dipping, and could select three decadent toppings from a delicious and uniquely-created selection of 18 toppings.

The children were also treated to a performance by youngsters from the Art of Excellence Mything for Mandela project, including miming, dancing and a tribute song.

“We are passionate about helping to create a brighter future for all South Africans through our many programmes. Partnering with the Reach For a Dream Foundation on this initiative is but one example” said Pranya Naidoo, assistant brand manager at Unilever.

“The only way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others,” Boynton-Lee added.
