Matric pupils at King David High School, Linksfield, have produced results to be proud of, with an impressive 463 distinctions between the 153 pupils who wrote matric this year, and 147 pupils achieving university exemption.
Two top achieving pupils, Adam Krok and Greg Meyer, scooped a breathtaking 10 distinctions each. Krok was placed among the top one percent of IEB matrics in six of his subjects, while Meyer reached the top one percent in three subjects.
Saul Hurwitz and Taryn Gersohn each took home nine distinctions, being placed in the top one percent for three subjects and four subjects respectively.
Six pupils joined the school’s top achievers as Tyler Epstein, Ashlee Firer, Adam Jankelow, Daniel Lewis, Devon Sostak and Jemma Waksman achieved an impressive eight distinctions each. A further 14 students received seven distinctions each, and numerous King David matrics scooped between one and six distinctions.
Krok, Meyer, Gersohn, and Waksman were all named IEB Outstanding Achievers after being placed in the top five percent of IEB pupils for six or more subjects. Epstein and Sostak were placed among the IEB’s Commendable Achievers, reaching the top five percent in five or more subjects.
With results like these, King David High School, its staff, its pupils and their parents have much to celebrate.
