Christmas presents from the stork

As Johannesburg celebrated Christmas, these families enjoyed a little extra festive spirit as they welcomed their Christmas babies into the world.

Christmas babies were celebrated with big smiles at hospitals around Johannesburg, as new moms showed off their festive infants on 26 December.

At Netcare Park Lane Hospital’s two maternity wards, five new babies made their way into the world on Christmas Day. Families and friends gathered to celebrate with the new moms before these little bundles of joy were carried home.

At Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, a festive spirit prevailed as Christmas mothers shared experiences and prepared to take their new babies home for the first time.

With the celebration of new life in the air, it was a very merry Christmas for staff and parents alike.
