Woolworths’ blunders could all be sabotage

JOBURG - Could the recent influx in food-related incidents at Woolworths be attempts to sabotage the giant retailer?

Woolies was placed under fire once more on 4 December after a social media user reported finding what looked to be a rat’s skull in mushrooms that were purchased from the retailer.

It has been reported that the long list of Woolies food blunders could have been caused as a result of the retailer refusing to cut trades with Israel.

According to The Citizen National Coalition 4 Palestine spokesperson, Martin Jansen explained that their aim is get Woolworths to end their R12 million trade agreement with Israeli companies.

He also commented that the incidents involving Woolies food products began shortly after Boycotts, Disinvestment and Sanctions groups began campaigns to get shoppers to boycott the retailer.

He then continued saying that although the time frame of the incidents were convenient, it does not mean that the group is involved.

What do you think of the third creepy-crawly to be found packaged in Woolworths food?
