The homeless to go on a shopping spree

Kimberly together with RHA will be hosting a street store on 5 December.

Young lawyer, Kimberly Jackson in partnership with the Rosebank Homeless Association will be hosting a street store on 6 December.

The outdoor pop-up-store is an international movement and an exciting way to help the needy gain respect and bring back their dignity especially this time of the year.

The homeless will, on this day, be given a chance to “shop” for three garments off the shelves. They will not be requested to pay for this exciting first time shopping experience.

Jackson and the association appeals to the community to donate their old clothes prior to the event. The clothes can be dropped off from 1 to 5 December, at the clearly marked “The Street Store” at Immaculata Shelter in Sturdee Avenue, Rosebank, just next to the police station.

The event will take place at the Rosebank Library Park from 10am to 1pm.
