The Rand Aid retirement village hosts markets throughout the year, giving residents and
their families a chance to socialise over a hot drink and some tasty snacks, and pick up unique hand-crafted items at the many and varied stalls.
This year’s Christmas market was no different, as vendors sold home baked goods, hot food and a wide variety of other wares, and a small crowd enjoyed browsing the stalls or stopping for a cup of tea and a scone. Christmas cake and shortbread reflected the season, while beadwork and other items provided a chance to do some early Christmas shopping.
