Picnic in the park for security

OBSERVATORY - A NEIGHBOURHOOD initiative to promote security company Community Active Protection (CAP) invites residents to a summer braai.

Locals are invited to gather and get to know each other at a community bring and braai at Sacred Heart College on 7 December.

The event is intended to raise awareness of what CAP does to make the north eastern suburbs of Johannesburg safer, and to encourage residents to join the movement to bring the highly-effective security initiative into Observatory.

Ready-lit braais will be prepared by organisers, and a wide variety of activities will be available for both children and the young at heart. Residents and their children are invited to enjoy summer fun with a jumping castle, water slide, pony rides and face painting, to exercise their sporty side with an obstacle course and five-a-side soccer, and to enjoy an ice cream from the food stalls.

Details: 7 December, 11.30am to 3pm; Sacred Heart College, 15 Eckstein Street, Observatory; Noa 083 275 3319 or Hugo 072 148 2817.
