A cuppa for Cansa

MODDERFONTEIN - THORNHILL Manor residents showed their support for cancer victims in a morning of charity and fun.

Around 60 people gathered on 18 November to enjoy a cuppa and tasty eats provided by residents at the Rand Aid Association retirement village’s Cup 4 Cansa fundraising tea morning in support of the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).

The tea party was accompanied by entertainment courtesy of Thornhill Manor’s Chapel committee, which included two solos by singer Enid Dixon and a duet with Brian Burls, with piano accompaniment by Amanda Brown.

A donation box and raffle ticket sales contributed to the funds raised, and Thornhill Manor was able to donate an impressive R2 540 to Cansa.
