Public meeting to discuss Lombardy East development

LOMBARDY EAST - Residents, as well as other interested and affected parties, are invited to attend a general public meeting to discuss the proposed Lombardy East housing project.

Ward 81 councillor Margaret Radebe invites community members to attend the meeting to address plans for a new rental stock housing project in the area – a proposed development which has raised concern about property devaluation and neighbourhood degradation among local residents.

The meeting, which is open to the general public, will provide residents with an overview of the Johannesburg Social Housing Company’s role in Johannesburg, and its function in the Lombardy East area. Attendees will then be introduced to the proposed project, the process by which a steering committee will be selected, and the next steps to be followed as the project unfolds.

Details: 30 November, 3pm, Lombardy East Bowling Club.
