Kojo Baffoe – the things you don’t know…

KOJO BAFFOE – Joburg resident, family man, entrepreneur, business man, blogger, poet and ex editor of Destiny Man magazine, but as accomplished as he is, he still knows that home is where the heart is.

Kojo Baffoe, who is a happily married family man and father of two, is also the silent killer in entertainment and media as he’s penetrated most of the South African media industry – and he’s not even South African.

What didn’t you know about Kojo Baffoe? He has an intense fascination with the army and as a teen was interested in joining the French Foreign Legion, which may stem from his deep-rooted need to live life by the rules. “Even when you’re trying to push boundaries, you have to know the rules to be able to break them,” he said.

“I don’t like to follow the news. It depresses me.” Kojo does not like to keep up with the news and would rather hear about it in passing, which is odd, considering that he and his family run a weekly newspaper in Lesotho, the country he grew up in.

What do Kojo’s weekends look like? Friends, family and football. Having lived in Joburg as long as he has, he doesn’t feel that this place can shock him anymore and would therefore rather spend time with the people he loves the most.

Kojo explained that his parting from Destiny Man magazine was to better himself and had nothing to do with the magazine that he had a fundamental role in building. He explained that since leaving Destiny Man, he is most looking forward to being at home, but will still be working on many things including his latest business endeavour, Project Fable.

He, like his father who is still working at age 80, believes in hard work and doesn’t see a time where he’ll be done.
