However, South Africans can find some solace in knowing this was not the first Parly brawl to be caught on camera.
As serious as the matter may be, City Buzz decided to find some humour in all this and compile some of the funniest Parliament brawls from around the world.
It was just three months ago when a brawl broke out in Ukrainian’s parliament when ministers voted to approve a presidential decree to call out more military reserves to combat rebels in Eastern Ukraine.

In August 2013, members of Taiwan’s parliament brawled ahead of a vote on whether the country should build a fourth nuclear power plant.
Again in 2013, a number of Venezuelan MPs were injured after a fight broke out in the country’s National Assembly over an election dispute.
