Greenside residents support injured officer
PARKVIEW – Parkview residents give back to their own Constable Thomas Thage to show their appreciation.
Constable Thage was shot while he was off duty and tried to stop a truck-jacking in process. The Parkview residents felt that the Constable, along with the other police officers in the area, had contributed so much to the community that they would want to give back to them.
Parkview resident Hayley Watson Taylor posted an appeal on Facebook to any residents who would like to contribute towards something to show their support and appreciation for the bravery and dedication of their Parkview police men and women.
Since then, there has been an amazing response from the community and Hayley, on behalf of the Parkview residents, were able to deliver a hamper filled with goodies and vouchers to hopefully help aid and support him during his recovery.
“We wish Constable Thage a speedy and uneventful recovery and hope to see him back in our area very soon,” said Hayley.
