Community Talk with Justice Malala

KILLARNEY – A community talk worth talking about – and for a good cause.

Justice Malala will be speaking to a group of Rotarians and community members about the political economy of Southern Africa.

“We are charging community members and Rotarians R50. Tea and coffee will be served after the talk. All funds raised will go towards the purchase of stationary for The Mitzvah School who teach children from Alexandra the matric syllabus,” said Steven Margo.

Established in 1987, the Mitzvah School was opened illegally to help people who were desperate to write their final matric exams.

Now, 28 years later there is a high demand for this type of establishment, where people can get their final matric certificates. The Mitzvah School is a non-profit organisation and receives most of its funding from individuals and organisations who believe in the work done there.

The community talk is open to the public and all are welcome.
