Space trip for Jewish Chai FM listeners

FAIRMOUNT - The local award-winning Jewish community talk radio station Chai FM.101.9 with Land Rover South Africa and Virgin Galactic launched the Land Rover Galactic Discovery Go To Space competition.

The station manager, Kathy Kaler said the competition was one of the biggest competitions on offer to date in the country’s radio station.

Kaler said the first prize was a trip to space for the winner and three friends valued at US$1 million. Kaler said the second was a Land Rover Discovery Sport experience and stargazing weekend at the super luxury Tswalu Resort in the Kalahari for a winner and three friends valued at R120 000 and a Land Rover experience for a couple valued at R6 000 per person and tons of exclusive Land Rover merchandise. She said, “The competition is open to everyone. We are the only radio station in Gauteng that have the rights to broadcast this competition. Land Rover approached our station based on previous campaigns the station has run in the past.”

Kaler added the competition was launched in celebration of the unveiling of the New Discovery Sport. Meanwhile the station’s brand manager, Lauren Dansky, said the station had been approached by the sponsors to run the promotional campaign based on the strength of previous listener campaigns. Kaler said listeners with the adventure gene and a taste for space travel, should visit www.chaifm.com for the links and further information on how to enter the competition. She said the station chose to collaborate with Land Rover for this competition as the station felt their listeners would not want to miss out on an opportunity of this magnitude. Kaler sad, “ “Entries close on 21 November and the winner will be announced on 2 December.” ChaiFM broadcasts to the world from Fairmount, north east of Johannesburg.
