Drive-by dog biting

NORWOOD – NORWOOD police are looking for woman who allegedly allowed her three dogs to bite a man in Paterson Park and then drove away.

According to the complainant, on 7 October he was walking with his friend in the park near Paterson Road and they were approaching the car parking area when the incident took place.

The complainant alleged that three dogs, one big black dog and two small black and brown dogs attacked him. He said the big dog grabbed him by the left leg just above the knee, and the other two grabbed him by the right foot.

The victim said he screamed, and claimed that the woman called her dogs and put them inside her white Ford Focus. The woman drove off without checking the nature of the injuries to the victim.

Norwood police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said the victim had sustained injuries on both legs, and they were looking for the owner of the dogs to charge her with negligence for allowing the dogs to bite the man.

Tsoanyane urged the public to help the police with information that could lead to the arrest of the negligent dog owner.
