According to reports, the man was arrested on 24 September following the alleged rape of a fellow pupil.
According to IOL the female pupil was raped at Phumlani Garden Newtown on 21 September at 2am. She told police she woke up in the accused’s bed and saw condoms on the floor. The victim said she had been at Gandhi Square, the night before, for drinks. She said she did not concent to sexual activities with the accused.
Johannesburg Central Police comfirmed an arrested had taken place in connection with the rape.
The suspect is due to appear in court on Thursday.
