Church to host a pub evening

The event will take place on the church premises and aims to encourage good relations between the church and the community it serves.

One of the reverends told North Eastern Tribune that the event was also part of the organisation’s Come Back to Church campaign.

He said, “The [Come Back to Church] service will take place on 21 September during the main service, but before that, we’d just like to host everyone at a pub evening”.

He added that although the idea sounds unusual for a church, it was a great idea to interact and have fun with people while encouraging them to “come back to church”.

The event is scheduled to take place on 19 September and an entrance fee of R60 is payable at the gate.
