Spring into action at Killarney Park

KILLARNEY – The New Killarney and Riviera Association invites the residents of Killarney, Riviera and Rosebank to their first annual Spring Day at the Killarney Park on 28 September.

The festival, sponsored by Pam Golding Properties, is aimed at raising funds for the association.

The New Killarney and Riviera Association is engaged in various community initiatives, including employing street cleaners, improving street lighting, installing speed humps, planting trees and monitoring security.

The day is set to be a family event with food stalls, entertainment provided by the band Thomas’ Trio, and other fun activities for the little ones.

Pam Golding will also hand over a R10 000 prize to the winner of the verge competition the company is currently running.

Apartment buildings throughout the Killarney and Riviera area have been invited to enter the competition, and visitors to the Spring Day will vote for what they think is the best verge. The votes will be counted and the prize of R10 000 will be awarded on the day.

The entrance to the park lies between the east side of 4th Avenue and the west side of 2nd Avenue.

Car guards will be employed to watch over vehicles.

The event will begin at 10am.
