Pensioner’s house burgled

Bramley police are investigating a burglary case after a pensioner's house was broken into.

According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the victim received a call from his neighbour alerting him about a suspicious looking bakkie parked outside his house.

“The victim’s alarm had also gone off and his door was broken. Upon further inspection, he found that his three flat screen TVs were missing from his living room, study and bedroom,” said Maphakela.

He added that the stolen items were valued at R20 000 and that the damage caused to the door and gate was estimated at R10 000.

Maphakela said fingerprints were lifted at the scene and that police investigations were underway.
