Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela told the North Eastern Tribune that three men hijacked a woman of her VW Golf in Gressworld.
He said, “Security guards received information about a hijacking that had taken place in the area, and upon investigating further, they saw two cars, including a Nissan 1400 bakkie, driving fast on one of the main roads in the area. They managed to stop the bakkie and found the victim’s handbag.”
Maphakela added that the victim identified the bag and all its contents.
He said a third suspect was still at large with the victim’s car and investigations were ongoing.
The suspects in custody are due to appear in court soon.
