Police bust armed robber with replica firearm

Police believed the suspect could be linked to several other cases opened at the station, as his physical attributes fitted the description of a suspect reported in these incidents.

Captain Phillip Maganedisa said the suspect was identified at the intersection of Smith and Twits streets in Hillbrow, during a routine stop and search. He was found in possession of a firearm replica and stolen property.

Maganedisa said the suspect was believed to have targeted several women on and around Pretoria Street. When the suspect was arrested, an alleged victim had come to open a case at the station when he saw the suspect who had previously robbed him, added Maganedisa.
