Winter market hailed a success

Inyoni Creek retirement village hosted its annual winter market on 8 August.

The market was held in the clubhouse that overlooks the dam.

A variety stalls were set up and different items were on sale including everything from food to pillows.

Spokesperson for the Rand Aid Association-run retirement village, Cathy Grosvenor, said the market was a success and that residents were looking forward to the next one.

She said, “The next market will be the village’s Christmas Market, which is scheduled to take place on 14 November where resident Roy Watts, who sells honey, cheese and nougat, will tempt visitors with an array of quality goods.”

On offer were also various items including clothes, shoes, cakes, preserves, cheese, pickled onions, scarves, jewellery, bric-a-brac, arts and crafts, knitwear, seedlings, hand-bags, gifts, birthday cards and much more.

The retirement home is situated on the corner of Modderfontein and Wordsworth roads in Lyndhurst.
