Ebola not in South Africa

MODDERFONTEIN - Dr Aaron Mostoaledi has dismissed reports that deadly virus Ebola has spread to South Africa.

The health minister said people should not go into a state of panic.

This comes after a Guinean woman, suspected to have infected by the virus was isolated at the Rahima Mossa Mother and Child Hospital.

Motsoaledi said the woman was Isolated after she complained of high fever and was screened for the virus.

He accused the DA’s Jack Bloom, of sending the media into a frenzy.

Bloom issued a statement earlier in the day, saying there was a suspected case of the virus in Johannesburg.

While addressing the media at the Edenvale Hospital on 14 August, Motsoaledi said he although she had no contact with people infected with Ebola, she was placed in isolation out of vigilance.
