Breaking news: DA wins Ward 90

According to former Ward 90 councillor Gordon Mackay, results showed that the Democratic Alliance dominated the voting stations during by-elections on 13 August.

In the Rosebank area, the DA walked away with 442 votes while the ANC received only 40.

A total of 1 415 voters showed up at Craighall Primary School where only 74 residents voted for the ANC. An overall 1 335 residents voted to keep their ward DA while six spoilt votes were also counted. The DA dominated with 94 percent of the total vote at this station.

Victorious…Bongani Nkomo, of the Democratic Alliance, won the Ward 32 by-election that took place on 13 August.

George Lea Park counted 880 votes for the DA and 23 for the ANC. The DA again dominated with a 97.3 percent win.

The DA secured victory in Ward 90 with a 94.6 percent win.
