Victim speaks out about armed robbery

HYDE PARK - Recalling an armed robbery experience, a 19-year-old victim who did not want to be named said the incident was very weird.

“The guy approached us pretending he knew us and when he got real close, he showed us his gun.

Then he tapped it before threatening to blow our brains out.” said the boy.

“The strange thing about the incident was how the guy kept telling us some strange story. I guess he was trying to distract me and my cousin as he took our things.”

The boy said he was with his 17-year-old cousin who was left traumatised after the ordeal but said was doing better now.

“I’m over the incident now but I was very angry after the guy took my iPod, phone and money,” he said.
