Pirates Club to celebrate craft beer
GREENSIDE - Pirates Craft Beer Club celebrates its first birthday on 14 August.
To celebrate, the club will host four different microbreweries on the same evening, with each brewery bringing a single beer range for tasting.
According to Dave Case of the beer club, in the past year, the club has given brewers an opportunity to share their passion for the craft with beer lovers.
The club has hosted a different brewery every month for a tasting session on the brewery’s entire range.
“With a number of successful evenings already under the belt, the club has been able to build a great following,” said Case.
He added, “In August, beer lovers will get a fantastic experience and to top it all off, they are going to be able to vote for their favourite beer on the evening.”
The winning brewery will get a trophy that they can display at their brewery.
“Pirates Sports Club will also launch their very own craft beer on the evening, the Buccaneer Ale,” he said.
“The beer club is just another example of how Pirates is far more than just a sports club.”
