St Vincent School for the Deaf to host colourful-run
ROSEBANK – St Vincent School for the Deaf will hold its annual colourful-run on 2 August at the James and Ethel Gray Park in Birdhaven.
The 7km fun run will have five colour stations along the route where runners, who start running in white T-shirts, will get bombed with different colours. The event is ideal for the whole family as there will be entertainment, a kiddies play place, flea market, food, drinks, prizes and giveaways.
Principal and former pupil at the school, Ingrid Parkin said, “It is a celebration of health, happiness and unity, awareness for the deaf community, deaf education, and bringing hearing and deaf people together; a smile, a hug, a wave, a cheer is understood in any language.”
The event begins at 8am and there will be free T-shirts for the first 1 000 online entries.
